This position oversees supply chain activities for the assigned facility and clinical program with inventory management, contract compliance, product substitutes, standardization, and budget accountability. The incumbent coordinates with department and clinical program managers to provide the needed services in the most efficient manner. ******Job Essentials******

* 1. Supervises distribution and replenishment activity for assigned facility or clinical program. Prioritizes activities to ensure the most efficient flow of supplies and highest fill rates. Is responsible for caregiver safety and inventory security directives. Ensures accuracy of all inventory activity for all assigned inventories through the efficient use of replenishment systems, tools, and processes. Oversees inventory cycle count program in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP's), utilizing available systems tools and reports.

* 2. Replenishes supplies in assigned and approved inventory storage locations. Ensures inventory is being managed proactively considering department or clinical program workflow, utilization, and regulatory requirements. Ensures all temperature sensitive products are stored appropriately and delivered according to manufacturer and facility policy.

* 3. Supervises receiving and put-away workflow. Establishes tasks related to inbound arrivals and delivery of supplies to assigned department. Ensures prompt and accurate validation of shipments and data input and is accountable to work the receiving variances. Ensures flammable, refrigerated, or hazardous supplies are handled properly, and capital assets are properly identified so asset tagging can take place.

* 4. Assists and coordinates products, equipment, and services standardization. Acts as liaison between assigned department or clinical program and SCO/Materials Management.

* 5. Implements and maintains the Intermountain Healthcare SCIT programs, including the review and analysis of reports generated by the system.

* 6. Trains all new employees according to department policy and procedures to ensure they possess the skills necessary to perform their job functions.

* 7. As required by either supply chain or assigned facility, conducts and attends supply chain and facility and clinical program staff meetings and huddles to ensure a high level of accountability and service.

* 8. Works and counsels with caregivers on their goals that have been determined during the performance review process to assist with and ensure their success. Hires, onboards, coaches, gives constructive discipline, and terminates assigned caregivers.

* 9. Maintains assigned Inventory Business Unit (IBU) inventory levels according to Intermountain benchmarks to ensure products throughout the facility are at the appropriate levels.

* 10. Coordinates the use of the SCIS system in support of replenishment, inventory management, receiving, and other inventory activity or processes. Ensures departmental files and reports are generated and retained in accordance with Auditing, Accounting, and other regulatory agencies.

* 11. Measures and assesses SCIS processes for assigned dept and facility for compliance to policy and SOP's.

* 12. Oversees inventory control processes (e.g., cycle counting, PDA relief for assigned IBU).

* 13. Understands and applies appropriate SOP's to ensure they are being maintained and implemented correctly.

******Minimum Qualifications******

* Five years of experience in related Materials Management.

* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

* Experience in a role requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability.

* Leadership or supervisory experience.

* Some positions may require certifications to perform job duties.

******Preferred Qualifications******

* Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management.

* Experience in a role working with healthcare supplies.

* Knowledge of surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments.
